Review: Stay

Stay Stay by Sarina Bowen
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

This is the second time I've listened to this book and I love it just as much now as I did a year ago.

This couple is sweet and cute and swoon-worthy. Their insecurities only make their relationship that much more real. Their unexpected friendship turned romance is one for the books. Which makes sense....

Anyway. If you've wanted to see what happens with Matt Ericksson post divorce, this is the book you need to read.

**I did the audio of this book. Again. Yes, it's that good. I have yet to put eyes to page with this WAGS series and I don't regret it at all. Where else will I find the sexy, soothing voice of Jacob Morgan? When will I ever hear him whisper those sweet, sexy words in my ear?
I'm firmly planted in the Jacob Morgan is amazing camp. It's where I'll stay until I can no longer hear. Lucy Rivers makes the perfect Hottie. Her voice isn't crazy or over the top. She does an excellent male voice. I'll continue to find books narrated by Lucy Rivers and add them to my collection.

Review: Cross

Cross Cross by Adriana Locke
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Adriana Locke has yet to give me a man that I just didn't absolutely fall head over heels in love with. Cross is no exception to this rule. His story will break you while putting you back together. You'll enjoy seeing old favorites, such as Walker, Mach, and Peck. And you're just going to want to pack your bags and move to this small town because those Gibson boys will make you smile so big your face will hurt.

----
There is a short story about Blaire Gibson in here. And I know I'm not alone when I say I want more of her and Holt. Like WAY more. Can that be a thing? Please?!

-----
The second short story is about Nora. And Kip. And it's hot. I need more of this couple as well. It'll be so fun to watch Nora's guard drop.

Review: The Boyfriend Experience

The Boyfriend Experience The Boyfriend Experience by J.A. Huss
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Do you even want my review? It's going to be a long one. Probably. Maybe. I guess we'll see.

I've wanted more of Lawton since he first hit the scene back in, what was it, Turning Back? His Turn? I don't even know. What did I know then? That I wanted more of him. I wanted to see him naked and sweaty and preferably with a man. Jordan to be exact. Did I get that? Well, I won't tell you that. What will I tell you? This book is another mindfuck that only JA Huss can provide.

Lawton needs something. He needs a partner, preferably a woman. And when Jordan offers him a game, he can't refuse because it's exactly what he needs.

Oaklee Ryan is in need of a game. A Boyfriend Experience, if you will. And Lawton is the perfect man for the job. He's good looking, smart, and knows his beer.

Can I get the deluxe boyfriend package? The one with the multiple orgasms, foot massages, and a fierce sense of protectiveness? Can I get the man in the suit and the one in the biker jacket?
Because if there's something I have come to know and love about Julie's writing, it's that she can make me want both. Spencer Shrike, the biker. Mr. Romantic, the suit. See. She gets me.
And Law? Well, he's this sexy combination of the suit and the biker.

If you're a fan of Julie's you're going to LOVE this book. Not just for the couple, but for all of the little visits to some old haunts. The trip down memory lane will have you asking her for more books featuring some of your old favorites and some of the new favorites you didn't know to want.

You're going to love this ride.
You're gonna find yourself wanting to move to LoDo just on the off chance that Shrikes really exists. You're gonna want to find Turning Point and Cookies and Bronco Brews.
And you're gonna want to close the book only to start it all over from the beginning because you've finally realized this is the world you want to live in.
At least I know I want to live there. I want my ink to come from Sick Boyz (or Girlz), I want a Shrike Bike, and I want friends like Oaklee and Jordan and Law. I want friends like Vivi and Chuck.

See. I told you this could be a long one. And I blame Julie for that. I blame her because she writes worlds that feel so freaking real and characters that feel everything. And yeah, I want to stay in this world.

#RideOrDie Bikers Rally

May is Motorcycle Safety Awareness Month and to spread a little awareness we want to celebrate our favorite motorcycle romances! As the weather warms up we see more bikers on the road, so what better way to remind ourselves to be on the lookout than to celebrate our favorite Motorcycle Club Romances?!
(This tour was organized by Amy from Foxy Blog, Angy from Collector of Book Boyfriends, and Nissa from Of Pens and Pages!)

And now I introduce you to one of my favorite MC romances...

DRIVING WHISKEY WILD BY MELISSA FOSTER
(Book 3 in The Whiskeys series)

Blurb:

A captivating new sexy standalone romance by New York Times bestselling author Melissa Foster.

Special Forces veteran and Dark Knights Motorcycle Club member Bullet Whiskey lives to protect his family, their bar, and the residents of his small hometown. He's rough, unapologetic, and haunted by a secret, painful past. He's also a master at keeping people away, and when his sister hires gorgeous and sweet Finlay Wilson to help expand their biker bar, he knows just how to get rid of her.

After losing her boyfriend and her father, Finlay moves back to her hometown to be closer to the little family she has left. She needs her temporary job at Whiskey Bro's to get her catering business off the ground, and she's determined not to let the gruff, arrogant mountain of a man Bullet Whiskey scare her off.

Finlay is everything Bullet has never wanted. She's afraid of his dog, afraid of motorcycles, and sweet enough to give him cavities, bu as she weaves her way into the hearts of everyone around him, he's powerless to resist her charms. Passion ignites, but trust doesn't come easily, and when their pasts collide, Bullet finds out the true meaning of protecting those he loves.

My Review:

Bullet Whiskey is the hero of the Whiskey family, but don't tell him that.

Finlay is the sweet caterer who has decided moving back to her small hometown was the only way to be around family.

Bullet never expected sweet Finlay to give in to his requests for a date, but she did. You would, too. He's all alpha hotness wrapped up in a sexy, tattooed package. And don't forget the beard, the broodiness, and the kindness. Plus, he's a biker. So, yeah. He's a complete package if there ever was one.

Finlay resisted Bullet Whiskey for far longer than any other woman. She knew that, but she also knew he wasn't her type of man. Everything Bullet exuded was the complete opposite of what she thought she was looking for.

Until it shifted. Until Bullet convinced Finlay he was more than his outer appearance.

And holy mother of awesome. This story is perfect. Bullet and Finlay are the exact opposites, which complement each other better than ever. Where Bullet closes people off, Finlay opens up. Where Bullet doesn't enjoy the company of others, Finlay is a social butterfly.

This is the third book in The Whiskeys series, but I have not read the previous two books. I never felt lost or confused or like I was missing something. However, I will be going back and starting with the first Whiskey book. These Whiskeys are just too fun to not read. And I'm definitely looking forward to Bones' book!

Review: Good Boy

Good Boy Good Boy by Sarina Bowen
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Yep. This is just the series I needed to make me happy. I *almost* forgot how much I love Blake Riley. Well, until I reread Us and then I was quickly reminded why I needed to read Good Boy for a second time.
And I don't just read the books. I listen. I get invested. I devour the voices of Teddy Hamilton and Tanya Eby as if they're sitting right beside me, talking into my ears.
In a way they are. They are the perfect Blake and Jess. PERFECT. I am such a Teddy Hamilton girl. He just has that voice that leaves me all swoony. Couple that with the awesomeness that is Blake Riley and you have character perfection.

Cheeezus.

If you haven't had the chance to meet Blake and Jess and Wes and Jamie, well, you're really missing out on a great group of people. The Rileys and the Cannings are the coolest families out there. And is it just me or does Mama Riley remind you of Marshall's mom on How I Met Your Mother? Loud, tall, boisterous, enthusiastic. No? Just me? Oh well. I very clearly picture that woman every time Mama Riley is on the page. And now you will too. You're welcome.

Grab this. You'll feel better if you read it. It's hard not to smile when half of Blake's vocabulary is made-up.
(review from 5/25/2018)
``````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````
5 "You make Blake Riley Smiley" Stars
I think I called it quits with my last Sarina Bowen book. I called it quits not because the book was disappointing, but because the book was perfection. And this is no less perfect. Blake Riley and Jess Canning are amazing together. Now, don't get me wrong, no one can replace Wes and Jamie, but damn Jess and Blake are rightthere with them.
Blake is a great guy. And I mean amazingly awesome, no one can compare. He's sweet, kind, generous, always puts others first, and is willing to look like the bad guy if it means the other person will be happy. In short?
He's.
Fucking.
Perfect.
Jess Canning is a hot mess of hot messes. She loves fiercely, wants the best for everyone she knows, and doesn't want to settle in any aspect of her life. Not one for relationships, she was perfectly content letting Blake Riley stay firmly planted in the 'one and done' column. Until she wasn't okay with that. Until life changed course. And that's when she decided she had to have him. Well, part of him.
Because you can't wish a relationship into existence and Blake Riley is her brother's teammate and she doesn't do relationships and school is hard and her roommate is horrible and and and.
Yeah, that's basically what it's like to live in Jess's head.
Don't let that stop you though because as crazy and hectic as it may be, it's filled with love and longing and the heart of someone seeking approval.
I found myself laughing out loud while reading this. I just couldn't hold back. The characters are hilarious, Mama Riley is loud and boisterous, and the Rileys almost an excellent replacement for the Canning Clan (except no one is better than the Cannings). You'll find yourself cheering for Blake when he's on the ice and when he's pursuing Jess.
You're gonna want Blake to win. You're going to want to see his persistence pay off.
You want this to happen.
Hey, meet Blake, he's my boyfriend.
If I keep saying it, it has to happen. Right? Right?!
Review: Hot Asset
Hot Asset Hot Asset by Lauren Layne
My rating: 4 of 5 stars
4.5 Wall Street Stars
This is my first Lauren Layne book, but it will not be my last! I am so excited about this series and the characters. They have such charm and they are so much fun!
This is the story of Ian Bradley and Lara McKenzie. Can I tell you a little something about Ian Bradley? Yes? Good. That man, oh that man, has my number. He's all suited up and he's all charm and charisma and power and confidence. He's alpha. He's in control.
Until something happens and he isn't in control. But even when he's playing someone else's game, he's still impressive, formidable, and intimidating. He's not a man you want to cross.
Ian has the coolest group of friends I've ever met. They're hilarious. They're supportive. They're everything to him. And watching him with Matt, Kennedy, Sabrina, and Kate? And then Lara? It's what I want my friendships to look like.
Lauren Layne has found herself a new reader. A loyal reader if the rest of her writing is like this. She writes chemistry and tension and lust with just the right amount of flirty fun. I'm ready for Matt and Kennedy!!
Review: Us
Us Us by Sarina Bowen
My rating: 5 of 5 stars
Yep. It's still a 5 star read. I just love these boys. I love this story. This is what it's like when you're in a relationship. These are the hardships--well, I guess they'd be the hardships--that come after you finally settle into your routine with your partner. What I love is that there isn't any miscommunication, lies, or deceit causing problems. The problems are problems any regular couple would experience.
Laundry? Dirty dishes? Cooking dinner? All real life problems.
Getting stupid sick, dealing with the media, and being in a same-sex relationship? Not as normal, but all possible. All of these things could happen.
And that's what makes Wes and Jamie's story so freaking real.
They love each other and would do anything to be together.
This is just another example of that love.
And we can't forget to mention those teammates and the Canning Clan. All fantastic characters who are just as important to this story as our main characters.
I may also love Blake Riley.
He makes me smiley. =)
(review 5/23/2018)
---------------------------------------
5 Vitamin C Stars
I can't get enough of Jamie and Wes. I fell in love with them in Him and this just cemented their perfect spot on my top ten favorite couple lists.
This is what happens when the newness of a relationship wears off.
Jamie and Wes are trying to figure out their way in this crazy relationship they want more than anything else. And it isn't easy, what with trying to hide their relationship from their peers.
I've realized there is always a moment in a book that solidifies itself as something worth reading--well, there should be, but whatever. There is that moment when I sit back and say 'yes, that's the moment.'
The moment in Him was the first kiss. That first kiss was sheer perfection and ranks in my top five best first kisses ever. That moment in Us was the moment Wes dropped everything to be with Jamie. The moment he placed his lips to Jamie's forehead and then his lips was the moment I won't forget. It's the moment I'll want to replay over and over just to experience it again.
Jamie and Wes may have a few obstacles to overcome, but they have the help of the Canning clan and their new neighbor/Wes's teammate, Blake. Blake is awesomsauce. Buckle up because he'll have you laughing in a nanosecond. And I know he has his own book, but this first meeting is to die for! I love him so much! He's the perfect counter to the seriousness of Wes and Jamie.
So, Wes and Jamie are my go-to couple when I want a story that will make me happy. I know I'll be listening to them at least once a year from now on.
Review: Complicated Parts-Book 1 of the Complicated Parts Duet.
Complicated Parts-Book 1 of the Complicated Parts Duet. Complicated Parts-Book 1 of the Complicated Parts Duet. by Ashley Jade
My rating: 4 of 5 stars
Just when she blew me away with her Complicated Hearts duet, Ashley Jade has managed to leave me questioning the fluidity of sexuality and how two people can be so perfect for each other, yet fight against everything telling them to be together.
Preston and Kit are a slow burn. This isn't going to be what you want unless you like watching characters fall in love and not realize it. And not because of some silly reasoning, but because every fiber of their being is telling them it isn't possible.
So, when you start this, just know you're in for the long haul. You're in for the slow burn, the pain, and the people.
You're going to be asking how in the hell these two people can ever come together. You're going to ask yourself why they can't see it. You're going to want to know how it'll all work out.
Is this love in the cards?
Or will they continue to crash and burn?
Review: Player in a Suit
Player in a Suit Player in a Suit by Alex Wolf
My rating: 3 of 5 stars
Another quick and dirty read from Alex Wolf. In this novella you get to meet Jenna and Jaxson.
Jaxson is the bad boy you want to tame, but he can only be tamed by one woman. The woman with the kryptonite pussy.
Yep. He doesn't want to admit it, but his match has come back and she's there for him.
How does he handle Jenna?
Review: Him
Him Him by Sarina Bowen
My rating: 5 of 5 stars
(review for May 18, 2018)
I read it again. I was in the mood to experience one of my favorite couples again. The first kiss still gets me when I hear it (I did the audio of this for this go). I get goosebumps and butterflies--and it's not even my first kiss!
I'm a sucker for these boys. I love Cassell (still waiting on his book, btw) and Wes and Jamie and Holly. I love the Canning Clan. I love the love Wes has for Jamie and that Jamie has for Wes. If you ever want to see true love, read Him by Sarina Bowen & Elle Kennedy. This book is it.
```````
One would think that I'd get tired of reading this, but I don't. This is the third time I've hung out with Jamie and Wes and they never become less perfect. There is something so refreshing about the Canning clan. There's something beautiful about a love that started before either realized it was love.

Jamie and Wes still hold the top spot for "best first kiss of all time." I don't know what it is about that first kiss, but it gets me every single time. The uncertainty, the hesitation, the nervousness. The surety, the want, the lust. It's all there. It's conflicting, but it's perfect. Wes is unsure. Jamie is confused. Lines are blurred. Lines are rewritten.

This wasn't my first M/M, but it is my favorite. I haven't met another couple that has captivated me quite like Him. Honestly, M/M or not this is one of my favorite couples. I can count on one hand the number of books I've reread over the years and this is one of them. Top 5 book of all time. Top kiss of all time. I think that says something.

Review: Sidecar Crush

Sidecar Crush Sidecar Crush by Claire Kingsley
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Sometimes you find a town that you just want to live in. You're ready to pack your bags, sell your current home, and move to the new town you've just fallen in love with. You know that your life will be better and amazing and that it's just the right place for you. You know that nothing will get you, nothing will bring you down, that you will have met your people.

That's Bootleg Springs for me. I'm ready to sell my home and pack my belongings and move to Bootleg. I'm ready to make my children Bootleggers, even if they are transplants. I know they'll love the town, the people, and the Bootleg justice.

I say all of that, to bring you to the book.

Jameson and Leah Mae.

Jameson Bodine is the silent, broody type. He's artsy (my favorite) and quiet and he's thoughtful. He had a best friend growing up. A best friend who got to see the real him, the unfiltered him. He fell in love with his best friend before he knew what love was.

Leah Mae Larkin wanted more for her life. Not more than Bootleg Springs, just more. Fame, fortune, something more. But she never forgot her roots. When her mother moved her out of Bootleg, she came back every summer. Every summer until Callie Kendall, that is. But what she didn't realize when she left, when she stopped returning, she left a piece of herself in Bootleg.

When Leah Mae returns to Bootleg, the real party begins. This is when Jameson comes out of his shell, this is when Leah Mae finds the missing piece, and this is when you get some good ol' fashioned Bootleg justice.

You're going to LOVE seeing the Bodine group together again. You're going to love hanging out in Bootleg Springs. You're going to laugh out loud. And you'll never want to leave.

Review: Bro Code

Bro Code Bro Code by Kendall Ryan
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Love, love, love Ava and Barrett.

It probably helps that brother's best friend/best friend's sister is a favorite trope of mine, but even if that doesn't play a part, this book is fun.

It's just the right mix of sexy and flirty and angsty.

The sex is on point. The feelings are all there. The best friend/brother, depending on the POV, is just the right amount of sexy, totally clueless my sister has been in love with my best friend for ages clueless. And the parents, the factory, the factory workers are all that little something extra that make me love this book even more.

**I listened to the audio of this. I'm a whore for Jacob Morgan so it comes as no surprise that I enjoyed every second of this audio. And Ava Erickson? She's fantastic. The perfect narrating duo.

Review: Royal Match

Royal Match Royal Match by Parker Swift
My rating: 3 of 5 stars

I'll admit that I haven't read the previous books, so that might be some of the issue. However, this novella can stand on its own.

If you're looking for a sweet, swoony story about a man who loves his pregnant wife and would do absolutely anything for her, then this is for you. There is just enough background info given to where you know what's going on, but it also leaves you (well, definitely me) wanting to go back to the beginning to see how their story unfolded.

Add if you like royalty books, this is a nice treat as well. Because, well, big weddings, big surprises, big deal. And I do love a royal wedding.

Dylan will have you begging for more.

Review: Playboy in a Suit

Playboy in a Suit Playboy in a Suit by Alex Wolf
My rating: 3 of 5 stars

Another quick and dirty read from Alex Wolf.

April and Brodie don't meet under the most usual of circumstances, but the sex is mindblowing and just on the right side of dirty.

One crazy night can change your life. You could have the most amazing sex ever. You could meet the love of your life. You could do both.

Watching these two come together is fun. This isn't the dirty, dirty book that Devil in a Suit was, but it's still a fun read.

I look forward to the next installment in this series of novellas.

Review: Good Girl

Good Girl Good Girl by Jana Aston
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

If it wasn't 2:30 in the morning, I'd write an actual review. As it is, you want this book.

Trust me. RTC.

REVIEW TIME!
"I'll ruin you for anyone else."

I am in love with Rhys and Lydia.

In. Love.

Lydia is adorable and hilarious. And the perfect opposite of Rhys.
I miss quiet Lydia. I enjoyed her for the five minutes I knew her.
If you aren't laughing while reading this book, you're doing it all wrong. I laughed so hard. I was terrified I would wake up the entire house.

But really, this cast of characters. We had gotten a brief glimpse of Rhys in Sure Thing and with that glimpse, I knew I'd need more of him. More of everyone, but Rhys. Rhys, the manwhore. Rhys, the man who paid for sex.

So, yeah, when I realized I was getting a book featuring that manwhore, I knew I'd be in trouble.

And it's a Jana Aston book. Let's just say no one does older man-younger woman like Jana Aston. Sexy, rich Rhys. Bubbly, in her own world Lydia. They're the perfect match.

Do we want to talk about the sex? Yes? No?
It's hot. And dirty. And hot. You're gonna wish you had a Rhys to have the sex with. I know

What about the side characters? Canon is back and probably the one character I want to know more about.
Payton? Vince? Lawson? I want more of everyone. Seriously. Give me more! This is the best group of people, the most fun group of people.

This is light and fun and sexy and dirty and all the things you want in your rom-com. EVERYTHING YOU WANT.

Review: Whiskey Chaser

Whiskey Chaser Whiskey Chaser by Lucy Score
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

I just absolutely loved this. Everything from the town to the characters to the mystery.

I.
Loved.
It.

How often can you read a book where everything about it makes you feel good?

Welcome to Bootleg Springs, a town so rich in tradition you'll almost choke on it.
The town with the softball games that leaves everyone too drunk to play.
The town known for it's Moonshine.

Whiskey Chaser was that feel good book that had you rooting for the couple from the very first page. You didn't know what you were getting into, but you knew you already loved each person as individuals and you just knew they'd be the perfect complements to each other.

Scarlett and Devlin? Wow! These two are awesome. Scarlett is all bad ass and true to herself. Devlin is finding himself (oddly enough, this does not take away from his alpha-ness) after a shitstorm took over his life, but he's so sexy and demanding of Scarlett--in all the right ways--that I just fell for him immediately.

The Bodines. Man. This is the family I want. This is the familial bond I wish I had with my siblings. The Bodines serve their own brand of justice, much like Bootleg does. But the Bodines are protective of each other before anyone else. They fight, they stand their ground, and they defend the family.

If you aren't half in love with this town already, then just grab Whiskey Chaser and let the authors do the talking. This is the kind of book you pick up and read in one sitting (ignore the fact it took me three days, I had to adult).
It's the kind of book that'll leave you feeling good and asking yourself #WhatHappenedToCallie?
Plus, you'll wanna know who manages to wrangle those Bodines, so you'll stick around for the rest of the series.

Bring on the Bodines! I'm ready for more!

Review: Passion Rising

Passion Rising Passion Rising by J.A. Huss
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

It's the end we've been waiting for. It's the beginning we didn't realize we wanted.

Maddie and Tyler have been through so much in their short time together. They've struggled internally, externally, and everywhere else you can struggle.

And just when you think you're getting comfortable, because Huss and McClain lull you into a false sense of security for a good portion of this book, the shit hits the fan.

I was nervous. I wasn't sure what was going on. I messaged my friends who had already finished and asked them when the other shoe would drop. Because let's face it, it wasn't just Maddie and Tyler who felt that something bad was coming. Anyone who reads JA Huss is always waiting for that kick in the ass, that one thing that throws you for a loop.

But really, just when I thought I might come out the other side completely unscathed, they go and kick me in the ass.

And the result? Growth. Growth as a reader, growth as a devourer of the written word, growth as a whole.

The book is about many things. I've read reviews from people who didn't enjoy certain aspects of the book (Tyler's inner-monologues being a biggie for some), but those were the things I liked. Those were the parts that made the characters stand out and those were the little things that had me saying 'stick with it, I think there's a purpose.' And you know what? There was a purpose. There was a bigger, underlying cause. There was more than just some guy rambling in his own head. There was more than a girl pushing away the one person she always wanted.

There was more.
There was growth.

Growth as individuals, growth as a couple.

Maddie and Tyler at the end of Passion Rising are not the same Maddie and Tyler from the beginning of Sin With Me. They're more. They're wiser. They're together, in more ways than the obvious.

And that's what I took from this series. Growth. Not staying in one spot. Being more. Doing more. Finding purpose. Finding that one person who makes you a better version of yourself. The person who fills in all the broken bits and makes you whole. The person who loves you when you are at your literal worst. The person--or persons, because friendship goes a long, long way in this story--to build and share and grow with.

So, thank you, Julie and Johnathan for giving me more than I bargained for with Maddie and Tyler's journey. Thank you for making it deeper and more meaningful than just some hot sex and fucked up scenarios. Thank you for making me cry.

And Johnathan, if you ever read this, the love you have for your wife brought tears to my eyes. I almost came out of this book without tears--almost--but your EOBS left me sobbing. Happy tears. Tears of beauty because there is something beautiful and powerful about the love you have with your wife. For your wife. And the words you used to share that with us, your readers, left me smiling and crying.

Review: Tinfoil Heart

Tinfoil Heart Tinfoil Heart by Daisy Prescott
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

I've never read a book that didn't fill more boxes than "arc" "read" and "sexy time" but here we are.

Tinfoil Heart is that sweet, feel good book you didn't know you wanted to read, but picked up at the recommendation of a friend (or twenty). Let me be that friend for you now. You want this book. You want to get into this brand of crazy and off-the-wall because it's endearing and sweet and fun.

What do you do when your mother swore your father was abducted by aliens? What do you do when you believe that with everything you have because it's better than any alternative you can come up with?

That's what Lucy has to figure out and she thinks that's best done by going to Roswell. Yep. The Roswell.
But what she doesn't count on or expect is finding the quirky community so accepting of her weird. She doesn't count on them taking her in and making her one of their own.
And she really doesn't count on the mysterious Boone Santos, or Table Five.

Boone Santos is quiet, mysterious, and nothing like you'd ever expect in a book hero. He's all alpha and he's amazing, but he's subtly alpha and quietly amazing. He's more behind the scenes than in your face. Unless it's in bed, but that's a different situation.

This book surprised me. It made me smile, laugh, and I may have even cried. That's a lot of emotion considering I had no idea what was coming my way when I opened the book.

And Daisy Prescott has given you two--that's right TWO--epilogues. One for the skeptics and one for the believers. I'm not sure which I prefer, as both were perfect, but that skeptic epilogue had me in tears and the believer epilogue had me all smiles. So, you decide.

Are you a skeptic or a believer?

Review: Tulsa

Tulsa Tulsa by S.L. Scott
My rating: 0 of 5 stars

What can I possibly write here that doesn't ruin the experience for you?
What can I say that SL Scott can't say better?

The answer is nothing. I can do nothing here that won't ruin the experience. As with all SL Scott books, you need to read them to really feel them. You need to meet the characters, experience the love--and loss--that the characters experience. You need to be open to finding yourself within the pages of the book.

And you'll do those things. You'll find some hidden part of yourself as you read the story of Tulsa and NIkki.

Just know this is SL Scott doing what she does best: rockstars. And I say that knowing she gave me Danny, who is my favoritest super model ever. So, Tulsa will set your blood racing and have you asking yourself why you didn't hook up with a drummer when you were in your prime.

Review: So Good

So Good So Good by Nicola Rendell
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

LISTEN TO THIS BOOK. That's right, LISTEN. Use your ears not your eyes. I don't say that often, but in the case of So Good I am saying it.

Rock Engle and Felicity Munroe didn't just read the story off the pages, the ACTED the story. The deep breaths, the sighs, the excitement, the nervousness. You could hear it all. It was more like listening to a movie while cleaning the house (you know, when you're doing everything but watch the movie, so you only hear it? That.) than listening to someone read a book. And that made everything that much more fun.

The storyline is one you've read before. Best friends-to-lovers. One day, something changes, and then BAM they realize they need each other in all aspects of their lives and not just the best friend role. That happens for Max and Rosie. And it's sweet and fun and I wish I had had a best friend like Max because he's hot and swoony and all alpha.

I should talk about the pets. Because it's not often two animals steal the show, but it almost happens here. Julia Caesar is Rosie's cat. Cupcake is Max's dog. It's not love at first sight for those two, but it is 100% amusing. And as side characters? Totally awesome. I mean, the only other character is the guy who runs the bar. He seems to be the strong, silent type. Does he have a book?

Anyway, the bartender is not the point. The point is friends-to-lovers. That's what you get here. It's perfect.

But remember.

LISTEN TO IT.
