Review: Charming Like Us

Charming Like Us Charming Like Us by Krista Ritchie
My rating: 3 of 5 stars

I don't know what happened here, but I did not get the angsty story I wanted. And really, that's the reason for the 3 stars. Because it's a solid book, but I wanted more angst and pain and torture for a GFY MM romance.

So, this is on me, not the authors.

I still have a love for these bodyguards and billionaires. I love Oscar and Jack. They are freaking amazing together. And this story does them lots of justice. I just wanted more turmoil. I'm a sucker for pain.

I liked seeing Charlie though. If this book has one big, giant positive, it's the amount of time we see Charlie. For that alone, this book is a great read and one that I'd suggest reading so you get the bigger picture later. Assuming Charlie ever gets his own book.

So, yeah, 3.25 stars because Oscar and Jack are great, but I didn't hurt enough.

Review: Aurora Burning

Aurora Burning Aurora Burning by Amie Kaufman
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

I am not okay.
I am broken.
Shattered.
Done.

Where can I pick up these shards?
Will they go back together and move as before?
Or will they never be the same again?

Can one come back from such heartache?
Can one come back from such heartbreak?
Can one come back from such torture?

My name is Tyler Jones.
Aurora Legion.
Squad 312.

Go with Plan B.

Review: Love According to Science

Love According to Science Love According to Science by Claire Kingsley
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

description

Claire Kingsley has done it again. She's given me a romance that makes me smile and laugh. I just want to live in this world with Hazel and Corban. I didn't want this to end.
I couldn't put it down. Once I got started, I couldn't stop.

But really. Have you read the story of nerdy scientist falling in love with nerdy scientist? Probably not because it doesn't sound fun.
But this is fun. Hazel and Corban are awkward and cute and so freaking adorable.
And by adorable I mean they have sexy in spades. There's just something about these two that works and clicks and you want more of them.
More of the banter.
More of the fun.
More of the....cat?

Yep. More of the cat too.
