Review: Protecting Beca

Protecting Beca Protecting Beca by Kate Kinsley
My rating: 0 of 5 stars

Protecting Beca is a novella and part of the Special Forces: Operation Alpha series.
This is one of those quickie books, you know, because it's a novella, that will have you hanging on to see what happens next!

A bit insta-love, a bit insta-lust, a bit romantic suspense. It's all there. And it's such fun!

I love the bromances between Dalton and Jase and the others. And the girls? Well, Beca comes with her own batch of friends that are so much fun you'll be wishing for friends like these.

Fun story, a bit suspenseful, and just the right amount of chemistry between Beca and Jase to make you want just a little more. I can't wait to see what else can happen in this world.

Review: Just Swipe Right

Just Swipe Right Just Swipe Right by Allie York
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

This is a super cute, fun book. Light-hearted, sweet rom-com that will have you just waiting for these two to call it official.

I loved this story. It's an interesting glimpse into what dating in this day and age is like. Dating apps seem to be the go-to and Just Swipe Right is a cool look into this style of finding your perfect for you person.

You're gonna love these characters, their quirkiness, and their dogs. You'll even love the side-characters.

And this 425 Madison series will have you impatiently waiting to watch the next couple fall in love.
Get Just Swipe Right if you're in the market for a fun little romance!

Review: Next In Line

Next In Line Next In Line by Amy Daws
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

I am a huge fan of Amy Daws. She won me over with those Harris brothers and has continued to WOW me!

Next in Line gives us the story of Maggie and Sam. Maggie is, well, next in line at the Bait shop. And she stands out like a sore thumb.

Sam is in that same line, but a bit further back. While he may appreciate the view, he's still a gentleman.

What is one of the cutest meet-cutes ever, Sam and Maggie begin a journey neither expected.

Next in Line is fun, steamy, light-hearted, brother's best friend, best friend's sister romance. If this is your jam, well, you really need this audio.

And Teddy Hamilton. Do I really need to elaborate? I think that man could narrate the ingredients list on my cereal box and I'd listen to it. And not only would I listen to it, I would PAY to listen to it. So, yeah. Teddy. I think this was the third audio I listened to in a row that had him as the male lead. It's a real problem.
You can never say enough about Erin Mallon. Hands down, one of my top five female narrators. I love her as Maggie.

Excellent casting, excellent characters, great story!

Review: Craving Mr. Kinky

Craving Mr. Kinky Craving Mr. Kinky by A.M. Madden
My rating: 3 of 5 stars

In a twist of fate, Cassie and Dante met in the most unconventional way. And that meet-cute only got better when they realized Dante was the brother of Cassie's best friend!

This is a cute, fun, steamy story about Dante and Cassie. You're going to love them. You're going to love their friends and family. It was such a fun book!

I enjoyed the narration by Charley Ongel and Tor Thom do an amazing job of bringing this cast of characters to life. I always enjoy their narration. They are typically a one-click duo for me!

Review: Love, Sincerely, Yours

Love, Sincerely, Yours Love, Sincerely, Yours by Sara Ney
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

I'm not new to either of these authors, but nothing could have prepared me for the absolute hilarity of these two when writing together!

I laughed so freaking hard.
Out loud even.

And Rome and Peyton have the sweetest, most fun, sexiest little office romance ever. I never wanted it to end.
And Hunter is fantastic as a wingman. Supporting character. BFF. Whatever you want to call him, he's fantastic and I want one of him too.

An office romance that'll leave your sides splitting and have you cheering for these two crazies to just GET TOGETHER ALREADY! You'll love this one. LOVE IT.

When do I get Hunter?? WHEN?

Review: STALK HER

STALK HER STALK HER by Ker Dukey
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Okay, to say I couldn't put it down is obviously a lie because it took me TWO DAYS to read this damn thing.
But that was all me. I am busy--full time job, full time mom, full time life--and my reading time was seriously diminished because of the lack of school. Anyway, I should have knocked this out in one sitting.
And I would have, but I am the worst.

Which is saying something about myself considering the total mindfuck of a ride I just went on with Stalk Her.

I mean, I know it's gonna be dark. I know it'll be twisted. But just when I think I have a grip on what's coming next...just when I think the pieces are falling into place...bwahahahahaha.

Ker Dukey proves that I know nothing. And those things I thought I knew were total crap.
Because this is a mindfuck.

And it's a good one.

Review: Irresistible

Irresistible Irresistible by Melanie Harlow
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

I'll admit I have a slight addiction to this man. I coined the hashtag #MACKISMINE back when Only Love was being released. I can't help it. I'm a sucker for a sexy, sweet, single dad.

Mack and Frannie are that cute love story you can't put down. You want them to work and you want it to happen now!

But as a single parent, sometimes you have to take things slow. You have more than just yourself to consider and jumping into a relationship of any kind may not be the best idea.

Frannie though. She's just the sweetest, most patient person ever. She's kind and caring and absolutely perfect for Mack.

I love this as a series opener. Yes, it's a bit of a spin-off as we met Mack in the last series, but it is still very much a book one. You'll meet characters you'll want to know more about. You'll get a little visit from some old favorites (at least they were my favorites) that'll make you smile.

You're gonna love this book. Some could even call it...Irresistible.

Review: The Tango Lesson

The Tango Lesson The Tango Lesson by Melanie Harlow
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

This is just the little break from heartache that I needed. I grabbed this because it promised a good time and BOY DID IT DELIVER.

I didn't know Melanie Harlow wrote smut quite like this. But I am so glad she does. This is a hot little number if you're in the mood to try something new and fun.

#MeetYourNextBookBoyfriend

This is the month of love, right? So what better way to celebrate than by reading about #YourNextBBF?!
And this is going to be one hell of a tour, guys. You should probably get your one-click finger ready because the blogs are bringing you their favorites and you won't want to miss a single one!

I want to say that I am honored to participate in this tour and so happy to be included.

And, without further ado, I bring you.....

Vince Rossi

You may be asking yourself why you know that name or where you've seen him around and I'm here to tell you that you were given a glimpse of him in Good Girl, but you didn't really really get to know him until

Good Time

Vince is my ultimate book boyfriend. I have to thank Jana Aston for giving me such perfection. He's sweet, he's swoony, he's a do-gooder. He's sexy AF.

And if you don't believe me, surely you'd believe his wife.
Payton knows a Good Time when she sees it.
And Vince is a GOOD. TIME
So much so, she put a ring on it.

Because I fell head over heels in love with Vince Rossi, I tried to claim him everywhere. I don't think it worked, but it was worth a shot.

Payton's story is one of crazy fun adventure. She's the best friend I've always wanted. She's living the life with her Cheez-Its. She's married the perfect man.

Does it get any better than that? No, I don't think so. It's legiterally the best.

And to prove it, this is my crazy, off-the-cuff, wild review to celebrate the fact that Good Time was my TOP ROMCOM of 2018. Let it become your top romcom of 2019.

MY TOP 2018 ROMCOM.

HANDS DOWN THE FUNNIEST BOOK I'VE READ ALL YEAR.

I picked up this book knowing it would be a Good Time (I know you see what I did there). I just knew because Jana Aston always makes me laugh. ALWAYS. And she did not disappoint. Seriously. There wasn't a single thing wrong with this book. In fact, everything that could go right, went right.

Payton is the friend of our Good Girl, Lydia. You remember her, right? She found love with our favorite Rhys. Payton was the crazy friend. Is the crazy friend. The kind of friend you wish you had. Especially when you get inside her head.

Which is what you get here. Payton is the funniest heroine I've ever had the pleasure of meeting. And I've met some crazy ladies in my time. But Payton is just so much fun and endearing and there's a small part of me that is just as crazy so I can totally relate to her brand of nuts.

And don't even get me started on Vince. Vince in Good Girl was a bit mysterious and had that whole "I run a strip club" thing about him.
But Vince in Good Time is just all the things. He's my number two Aston man. And I think that's because I'm stubborn and I'll never let Sawyer go. But let's talk about Vince....

Just, yes please! I'll take one sexy, broody, intense, intelligent man. I'll take him to-go. I'll take him for now. And I'll take him forever. Till death do us part.

You will too. You'll want a Vince all for yourself. But unfortunately I've already claimed him so you'll just have to bow out now.

If you've made it this far, please help me in my plea for a book about Canon. I've been wanting him to have a book for quite some time now.

If you need more convincing, here's the blurb. But honestly, if I haven't convinced you to meet Vince by now, I'm afraid there's no hope for you.

Marrying a stranger tops the list of things you should never do in Las Vegas, but I did it anyway.

The entire night was my idea. I was the one who suggested a wake-up-with-a-tiger kind of night. Instead, I woke up with a ring on my finger and Vince Rossi in my bed.

Vince, who was nothing like I thought he was and everything I never knew I needed. Suddenly I was falling head-over-heels in love with my accidental husband and the idea of ending this union was the last thing I wanted.

I wanted forever. So what if we barely knew each other? Statistically speaking, our odds were as good as anyone’s.

Until the annulment papers landed on my doorstep…

Review: When Ashes Fall

When Ashes Fall When Ashes Fall by Marni Mann
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

I'm not sure if there are words to describe how I feel after reading When Ashes Fall. I'm heartbroken, I'm in love, I'm happy, I'm sad. If you ever want to read a book that gives you ALL THE FEELS, well, this is it.

Told from three different POVs and from different times, this story is unlike any I've read.
You have Alex, sweet, fun, loving Alex telling her story from present day.
You have Dylan, sweet, sexy, fun, loving Dylan telling his story from the first day he met Alex and then moving towards present day.
And you have Smith, sweet, sexy, fun, loving Smith telling his story from the present day.

I was in love with all of them. I was lost and confused and I was just looking for my next sunny day.

Marni Mann is a new to me author and I just cannot believe I've never read her before. Her words are beautifully crafted, put together with meaning and purpose. Her story is one I'll never forget. She brought me happiness, love, heartache, and acceptance. She made me remember a dark time in our history, while keeping me firmly planted in the present day. She gave me new perspective and a new vision of how things can be.

This isn't the story you've imagined it to be. And it's better that way.

Go in blind. I did. You won't regret it.

Review: Work in Progress

Work in Progress Work in Progress by Staci Hart
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Smartly written. I can't say that enough about Work in Progress.

Yes, it's romance. But you can shut up with your "but it's romance how can it be 'smartly written'" bullshit.
Just know that it is.

Thomas Bane and Amelia Hall are the couple least likely to happen. He's a writer, tabloid fodder, a force in the industry. She's a blogger, newly hired journalist, and so shy it almost hurts.

The back and forth, the dance, the proposal. The offer of a lifetime, the chance to make headlines, the opportunities given to both.

You'll see it coming because it's romance.
You won't believe the beauty until you read it.

Tommy and Melia make me smile. They make me feel good and they make me believe that love has the power to change people. Make them better, more them, more alive.

Review: What I Meant To Say

What I Meant To Say What I Meant To Say by M. Piper
My rating: 0 of 5 stars

After the ending to the first book, I knew Piper would do something insane with this conclusion. But I did not expect this.

I was on the edge of my seat, waiting for that other shoe to drop--as is common in a Piper/Frost/Piper Frost book. So, after the twist in the first book, I was ready.

HAahahahahahahaha. Ready. That's so cute.

This is a great conclusion to What She Didn't Say and if you haven't read that then DO NOT READ THIS BOOK. You MUST read book one or this book will be a bunch of nonsense.

Blake and Taylor make me happy. They should make you happy too.

Review: The Only One

The Only One The Only One by Lauren Blakely
My rating: 3 of 5 stars

Lauren Blakely is fantastic at giving you exactly the HEA you want. This is a second chance romance that is just the story you want to read when you have a few hours to kill.

It's light, fun, sexy, and it just makes you feel good. It's a feel good romance and I haven't been able to say that much recently. Yes, they had a slight hiccup in their relationship--that's why it's second chance--but they rekindle the flames and realize they have found the only one for them.

Yes, I did that.

Zachary Webber is one of my top 5 male narrators. His voice is smooth, deep, sultry (can a man have a sultry voice? I don't know, but they can now!) and it makes me want to rush out and one-click everything. Andi Arndt, well, do I even have to say anything about her? She's *the* voice of romance. These two together are exactly what you want to hear. They give the characters voice and bring them to life.

You'll enjoy this novella.

Review: The One You Want

The One You Want The One You Want by Gena Showalter
My rating: 3 of 5 stars

I enjoyed this for what it was. Fairly predictable, but cute and fun. I enjoyed the banter, but couldnt' really get into either mindset. I didn't realize this was 3rd person POV when I got started and I tend to struggle with those, but it's still a sweet romance.

I plan to continue to the next book with the hopes of a bit more heat and to eventually get to West's story. He was the character that caught my attention.

Review: If I Only Knew

If I Only Knew If I Only Knew by Corinne Michaels
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

So, I almost gave up after the ending in the last book. No, you don't need to read that one to read this one, but it does give you the set up. It prepares you for a bit about Danielle and Milo.

Although, the picture that has been painted of Milo is not a good one and that man is perfection in this book. He's intelligent, sweet, kind, and swoonworthy.

Yep. I fell for that accent much faster than Danielle did, but that's not surprising. I'm a sucker for an accent.

Shane East is absolute perfection in this. His voice is smooth as silk, sexy as sin, and perfect for Milo. I couldn't get enough of his chapters. Sophie Eastlake is fantastic and her Milo isn't bad either. This duo definitely knows how to keep the tension going and gives just enough to make you fall on your knees.

If I Only Knew will knock your knickers off. Be ready.
