Burnout by Coralee June
My rating: 4 of 5 stars
As my first Coralee June book, I don't know if I could have asked for anything better. Student-teacher, brother's best friend/best friend's sister? Yeah, I have a weakness and those tropes are it.
Decker Harris is the off-limits roommate of Blakely's brother, Lance. He's the teacher, he's the brother's best friend, he's the older guy.
He's totally fucking sexy and smart and bad ass and I want one. Seriously. Decker Harris is one of those perfect guys you just want to cuddle up with and binge watch horrible television.
Blakely and Decker have the world against them. I mean, Decker is Lance's bestie. Lance is Blakely's brother. Decker teaches at Blakely's school. He's older. He's a bit jaded. He's a bit loyal. He's 10000% the man you want Blakely to be with.
Coralee June just found herself a new fan. I hope she's ready to be stuck with me.

Review: The Speak Easy Duet: Includes Both Speak Easy and Speak Low
The Speak Easy Duet: Includes Both Speak Easy and Speak Low by Melanie Harlow
My rating: 5 of 5 stars
I have no idea what I thought I was gonna get with this book. I had read all other Melanie Harlow books, so I knew who our heroine married.
So, imagine my surprise when she meets Enzo DiFiore! I didn't see that guy coming at all. Which means this whole story is a twist and a turn and a crazy ride you won't want to quit.
A bit historical, a bit sexy, and a whole lot of fantastic, Melanie Harlow brings you to an era where bootlegging was a way of life and being in the mob was acceptable.
You'll find yourself falling in love, falling in lust, and rooting for these characters--all of them. Be ready for a ride because The Speak Easy Duet will not take you where you think it will. It'll deviate, it'll drop, it'll jump, and it'll leave you a bit breathless.

Review: Untouchable
Untouchable by Sam Mariano
My rating: 4 of 5 stars
All of my friends told me to read this book. They all told me I would love Carter and I'd want him all for myself.
Well, let me just tell you, that they were insane. All of them.
I downloaded this book before a weekend adventure and started reading it on a plane. OMG. DO NOT DO THIS.
Because that opening chapter? The beginning? The scene that sets the stage/tone/direction of the entire book?
Yeah, that is a hard one to read.
I sat there, hand over mouth, jaw dropped, wide-eyed waiting to see what would happen. How does a character come back from that? How is one redeemable? Why do my friends think I'll love this guy?
But then it happens.
You know the it that I speak of.
That moment when you let that earlier scene slip from your mind because the characters are doing new things. Different things. Redeemable things.
And so that first scene fades a bit, but not completely. There are little reminders of that moment that just can't be forgotten. And you don't want to forget.
Because when Carter Mahoney redeems himself, you're gonna be sitting there asking yourself how you fell in love with a guy like him. You're gonna be so confused you won't know how to handle your feelings.
And you will have feelings.
You will be mad and angry and sad and upset and happy and loved and so, so confused.
And you'll find yourself telling your friends about this book because you need others to fall down this bully-romance rabbit hole you've found yourself in.
The cycle will continue. You've now become your friends.

Review: Handle With Care
Handle With Care by Helena Hunting
My rating: 5 of 5 stars
Oh, Lincoln!
I wasn't sure what I'd get with a Moorehead at the helm, but holy smokes this book is on FIRE.
Lincoln is just the hero you want to crawl into bed with.
Wren is the heroine you want to hate (but only because she gets the guy), but you just can't because she's the coolest chick ever.
This is the Moorehead brother you want. He's the opposite of Armstrong in every sense of the word and he's just so swoony and dreamy and holy crap on a cracker AMAZING!
I can't get enough of this Shacking Up series!

Review: Stitch
Stitch by M. Piper
My rating: 5 of 5 stars
Just give me a minute to compose my thoughts....

Yeah....Soooo, this book is scorching hot. Just when you think M. Piper has gotten the best of you and given you all the erotica with Trigger, she goes and throws Stitch at you.
And you want him thrown at you.
And handed to you.
And given to you.
Because Stitch, well, Stitch is hot as sin and sexy as hell and he's got a wild side that you'll want to tame.
But you won't tame him.
Bryce is kickass and a spitfire. She kneels for no one. She belongs to no one. She is hers and hers alone.
But Stitch has other plans.
Plans you'll be excited to read about.
And if I haven't said it recently, this is a #OneHandedRead so bring a glass of cold water and turn the fan in your direction. You're gonna need it.

Review: Cruel Prince
Cruel Prince by Ashley Jade
My rating: 5 of 5 stars
I've been reading this book in pieces for months, so to finally have it all in my hands....gah. Cruel Prince is everything I need in a New Adult romance.
Jace Covington is the guy you want to hate, but you just know he has a reason for his actions. You KNOW it.
Yet, you still hate him.
You hate him so much you love him.
It's a fine line, that space between love and hate.
But when you've loved the same person since you were a child, it's really hard to let all that go.
No matter the reasons.
No matter how good the reasons.
You still love them.
You still want them.
They still complete you.
I'm rambling, aren't I?
Dylan is the heroine you'll love. You'll enjoy her attitude, her ferocity, her devotion. But you'll also love her independence, her need to be true to herself, and her loyalty.
Surrounded by a group of characters too crazy and too amazing to put into words, you'll find yourself wishing you attended Royal Hearts just so you could see how the other half live. And so you can see these characters grow and learn and fall in love.
Just when I think Ashley Jade can't surprise me, she does it again. And again. And again.
Grab this book.
Cruel Prince is the standalone you've been craving from Ashley.
It's the beginning.
It's the end.
It's everything in between.

Review: Letters to Molly
Letters to Molly by Devney Perry
My rating: 5 of 5 stars
Well, this one put me through the wringer, that's for sure. Devney Perry won me over with The Birthday List, but holy moly, she knocked my socks off with Letters to Molly.
I liked Finn before. I loved Molly before.
And now?
Now these are the two I wish I could call up when I need a babysitter or to go on a hike or to have a game night.
This town is one I want to live in for the rest of my days because it might be growing, but it's still small town.
The imagery painted in this book makes me want to book a one-way ticket to Montana. And there are some days I forget Montana even exists.
But not now. Now I know I will visit the picturesque state one day. I will go on a hike, walk through a small town, and hope that I stumble upon a spot that reminds me of Bozeman. I'll be looking for the Maysen Jar, I'll be checking out the stools for Randall and Jimmy, and I'll be on the look-out for a hot cop and his red-haired beauty.
But more than that, I'm gonna implant myself firmly in their group because they are the kind of people with the kind of love I want to surround myself with.
Finn and Molly.
Cole and Poppy.
These are two couples are my new #relationshipgoals. Minus that whole divorce thing that got in the way of Molly and Finn's happiness.
Can we talk about how absolutely perfect Cole is? I know I went on and on about him in my review for the Birthday List, but I just can't say it enough. The second I thought Finn was better than Cole, Cole did something to keep himself ahead of the game. And I can't even be mad. And it doesn't make Finn any less amazing, it just keeps Cole a smidge ahead of him.
