I love Peck! I've been waiting for that good timin' boy to settle down and THANK GOODNESS HE FINALLY DOES.

He gets everything he needs and wants and deserves. Because let's be real here, Peck is the most generous, giving, kind man. He's selfless to a fault. And he loves hard. He loves deeply. And he deserves that kind of love back.

He finds it.
He finds it and then some.

I loved this story. I really hope we get to stay in this world for a bit longer.

I've wanted to know more about broody, bad ass Machlan from the first moment he walked onto the page.
We knew he had a history, we just didn't know what it was.
And when we find out, man, let's just say I wasn't ready.

My tears had tears. My hurt had hurt. My feels were all over the place.

I love Mach and Had. LOVE THEM.

Review: Thrive

I put off reading this one for so many reasons. A lot of those reasons were because I just couldn't figure out why I'd want to go back and relieve the Calloway Sisters books from a different POV.

But then KB Ritchie proved that I needed this book to fully appreciate the love between Lil and Lo. And how they view the love that flows through Ryke and Daisy and Conner and Rose.

It's an interesting viewpoint. And clearly one that does not disappoint.

Sometimes you find a series that you just don't care for.
Sometimes you get to a book three in a series and you think it can't possibly go anywhere.

Then you find ACOWAR. The third book in a series.
AND BOOM.

To the stars who listen--and the dreams that are answered.

Happens.

I cried.
I read and read and read.
And I cried.

Big, ugly, sobbing, messy tears.

Because this book broke me.
Shattered me.
Pierced my soul down to its very core.

And, out of the shadows, out of the darkness, it gave me hope. It gave me love. It brought me full circle.
And left me smiling.

I couldn't have predicted such an epic story. And not just the love story, but the war, the fight, the loss.
The act of simply giving to another. Showing up. Offering choice.
It's something you don't realize you need, until it's given back to you.

You do not fear.
You do not falter.
You do not yield.

Review: A Court of Frost and Starlight

A Court of Frost and Starlight by Sarah J. Maas

Totally indulgent. There is no overlying plot, there is nothing huge to be taken away, but it's still wonderful. I loved visiting with my friends--okay, some people would call them characters--and seeing how they prepare for a celebration.

I loved seeing Feyre find something for herself.
I loved the gifts.
I loved Az and Elain and Rhys and Amren and just everything.

Because this was completely unnecessary, but so a nice gift to give .

That sneak peek at the end.

THAT is what I want more of. GIVE ME MORE.

If you read my review for ACOTAR, then you know I really loved Tamlin. Which makes my headline here a bit more surprising, I'm sure.

Because OMG. Rhysand is everything and everywhere and EXACTLY who I didn't know I'd want. And you'll want him too. You'll fight for him because he fights. You'll find beauty within because he is beautiful. And you'll find that you wish to leave among the Court of Night, despite all you know and have learned from Spring.

This is a wonderful book. A book that is powerful and packs a punch. You'll see ACOTAR in a new light when you read ACOMAF. You'll wonder how you ever managed to love the Spring Court.

You'll want to have the next book in your hand before you're fully finished with this one.

Shane East is my guy. Seriously. I will listen to this man read the phone book (do they even make those anymore?) or the outside of a cereal box. Anything. Really.

Hayden Wolf is a hotshot businessman with loads of money.
Avery Walker is a stewardess on a yacht.

When these two meet, fate collides. Sparks fly. Chemistry happens. Things combust.

Okay, so there's chemistry, there's banter, there's a whole lot of back and forth and pushing and pulling and then there's the conflict.
Which makes things interesting.

But all in all, I'd listen again and again. One, the story is a good one. Sweet, sexy, a bit forbidden. Two, Shane East.
