OMG. IF I DIDN'T LOVE BOOTLEG SPRINGS BEFORE, WELL I DEFINITELY DO NOW.
RTC.
I just, I thought this series couldn't get better. I thought they had given me everything I wanted. But I was so, so wrong.
Jonah and Shelby are PERFECT. I probably said that about Scarlett and Devlin, Bowie and Cassidy, Jameson and Leah Mae, and even JuneBug and GT, but I mean it this time.
I absolutely love how Bootleg Springs takes in these two outsiders and makes them part of their own. Jonah has the Bodine blood and that basically makes him Bootleg, but the real proof that he is a Bootlegger is the initiation. That special brand of Bootleg Justice.
I'm in love. I'm in lust. I'm waiting for my forever with a Bootleg Springs citizen. Do they still have single Bootleggers in my age group??
At this point, the only thing I'm missing is Gibson Bodine falling in love (and Oh, I have so many theories and canNOT wait to see who the lucky lady is) and getting his HEA. And, the obvious, what happened to Callie Kendall?!

Review: The Coaching Hours
The Coaching Hours by Sara Ney
My rating: 4 of 5 stars
When we met Elliot in the first book, The Studying Hours, I thought THAT'S WHO NEEDS A BOOK. And maybe that's because he seemed like a nice guy or maybe because Oz was the first roommate to fall, followed closely by the second roommate.
Book series trends tend to stick with something!
But here, Sara does what she wants! And I AM HERE FOR IT. Seriously.
Elliot is the book I've been wanting. And let me tell you that *nothing* goes the way I think it will. NOTHING>
And that's so, so good because I don't want a predictable story.
I was even nervous for a bit due to the circumstances and I thought maybe--just maybe--Sara was gonna pull a fast one on me.
But alas, she prevailed. And in doing so, gave me a story I could not stop listening to.
I've already lined up the next Douchebag. Because, yeah, there's another.

Meet Your Next Royal #RoyalsRule
I'm so honored to be asked to participate again this year! I love doing this tour and I hope you guys enjoy reading about our favorites! This time around, Foxy Blogs and Collector of Book Boyfriends thought it would be fun to bring you...
MEET YOUR NEXT ROYAL #RoyalsRule
For this stop on the tour, I'm bringing you a different kind of royalty.
I'm bringing American Royalty.
The New Camelot series by Sierra Simone featuring:
Now, let's get down to the reason Ash, Greer, and Embry should be your next royal read.
What can I possibly say about this book that hasn't already been said? Has it all been said? I'm sure it has. Despite the fact I know I am so incredibly late to this Sierra Simone/American Queen party, I am going to put words down to describe my feelings. Maybe. Hopefully.
I want to feel like my veins are being sliced open by the sheer desire of someone powerful, I want to be handled and cherished and used and worshiped. I want a man or woman to claim me as their equal partner in every way--until we're alone. Then I want to crawl to them.
If this line didn't hook you, I'm not sure you should be reading this. American Queen is intense. It's the story of a girl who is told to keep her kisses to herself. It's the story of a girl who falls in love with a man ten years her senior. It's the story of a girl who falls in love with her first lover. It's the story of love. All-consuming, over-powering, gut-wrenching love.
Right now, I was a vessel of pooling want, I was ready to be whatever he wanted me to be, ready to crawl into his veins and make him mine.
The emotions in this book are raw. Raw emotion drives this book. Primal instincts. Love. The desire, the want, the need. This perfect trifecta that couldn't be more beautiful if it tried.
"You're with me," he grunted in my ear as he continued to force his way in and out of my virgin cunt. "You're not with him. You're giving this to me."
I'm not sure if I even have words for this scene. This scene is the end and the beginning of something so much more than love, want, or need. It's the coming together of two souls who are hurting for another. It's the ripping apart of two hearts who just want one thing they can't have.
"You want to take care of me? Then fucking own me. Wreck me. Tear me up and sew me back together the way that only you know how."
Yes, please, yes. Do you feel the intensity? The urge? The desire to be controlled? The desire to be owned? The desire, want, and need to please?
You should.
"I kissed him because even though he's broken my heart twice in ten years, I still think he looks beautiful in the winter moonlight. Because sometimes I think I might literally die from wanting to feel his lips on mine."
You feel it now, don't you? That love? That fire that's burning through every page of this book? The slow burn?
"Just because you want to forget who you are doesn't mean the rest of us can forget you."
This is the story I wanted as soon as Embry became a key player in American Queen. As soon as his importance was realized, I wanted this book. There’s nothing like being inside Embry’s mind and I don’t think I’ll ever get enough.
”Oh, trust me, Lieutenant Colchester, I always keep both eyes on a man directly beneath me. Both hands too.”
I think this is the first time I shivered while reading this book. Yes, shivered. It was such an honest, open statement and it was so ridiculously cocky that I couldn’t help but love Embry just a little bit more here.
"I’ll take you any way I can have you. If all you’ll give me is a few stolen nights, then that’s what I’ll take.”
This relationship had never been easy. Kept in the dark, hidden from those around them, their romance was always going to be a scandal. Now that they are older, wiser, and even more involved? Now that two have become three? The truth of the relationship is still hiding in the dark.
"You’re sick.”
“No, sweetheart, You’re sick.”
“I am. I know I am. We both are. That’s why he likes us.”
“I am. I know I am. We both are. That’s why he likes us.”
”Your discipline belongs to me.”
It was fate, obviously, even though I didn't believe in fate. But it felt fated: there could be nothing in my life that wasn't connected to Ash.
This book has left me broken, torn in to three pieces, and I'm not sure if I'll recover. I ran the gamut of emotions between the covers of this book. I've been hurt and I just hope I can be repaired.
5 “You are more dangerous wielding love than you are wielding pain” Stars
It took me eleven days to read this book.
Eleven days.
Eleven days where I hurt and cried and felt pain.
Eleven days when I felt unconditional love, devotion, and magic.
Eleven days where I was terrified I would be broken.
I was broken.
I was hurt.
I was in pain.
I was elated.
I was happy.
I was in love.
Eleven days where my mind, body, and soul were held captive.
Eleven days where my happiness, sadness, and contentment were handled by the King.
Eleven days where I fought, and bled, wanted, and needed more from my Prince.
Eleven days where the Queen ruled.
Should you read this book? Yes.
Should you savor this book? Yes.
Should you devour this book? Yes.
I'm not sure how you can both savor and devour a book, but make it happen.
Eleven days was too long.
Eleven days wasn't long enough.
The New Camelot is waiting.

Do I need to write something else here to convince you that you want to read this series? Is there something I could have said? Do you need to know why they are royalty? Or why they should be the next books you pick up?
I hope I don't need to explain. I'm hoping my reviews said all I needed to say.
And because you guys stuck it out until the end, there's a pretty cool giveaway happening. Click below to enter:

Review: The Failing Hours
The Failing Hours by Sara Ney
My rating: 5 of 5 stars
OH Zeke. I knew he'd be a favorite. I'm surprised his book is so soon in this series, but I'M TOTALLY HERE FOR IT.
He's broody and angry and has a chip on his shoulder bigger than me.
But I LOVE IT ALL.
The anger, the broodiness, the fact that he's just so, so afraid.
Afraid of not being loved. Of not being enough. Of being left behind.
Violet is the perfect, sweetest, kindest girl to show Zeke that he is more than his hurt.
GAH.
Yep. I love it all. I need more. I'm downloading book 3 now.
Sara Ney what have you done to me! I don't have the time to do a binge-read/listen. THERE ISN'T ENOUGH TIME!
But I'm doing it anyway. These Douchebags got me.

Fluffy by Julia Kent
My rating: 4 of 5 stars
Julia Kent can do comedy! She firmly plants herself near the top of my go-to rom-com authors after reading this!
If you're in need of a laugh and a book filled with a seriously unfortunate set of events, this is for you.

Review: The Studying Hours
The Studying Hours by Sara Ney

Is 4.5 an option?? I adored this book!
RTC
I'm late to this party, I realize that. I don't know why I've put off reading these books for so long, but here I am. I'm officially smitten though. Sebastian "Oz" Osborne won me over with his patience, his reluctance to admit defeat, and his ability to love. He's a stubborn, stubborn man and he is only rivaled by Jameson.
Jameson. She's a feisty one. I adore her. She's the kind of college kid I wished I had been. She's strong and independent and fiercely loyal. And not just to others, but to herself. She knows she's worth more than a fling or a one time deal and she waits for something real.
And that's why I loved this book.
Well, the banter, the dreams/nightmares, the banter, and the slow-ish burn of things. Those are the other reasons. But really, I'm downloading the next HTDADB book now.

Review: Cocky Client
Cocky Client by Whitney G.
My rating: 4 of 5 stars
Whitney G is my weakness. Two books inside of a few days. I could listen to these shorts all day long and never get tired of them. Short, sexy, fun, and full of heat.
Cocky Client will bring new meaning to the word 'cocky" because Ryan is a special breed. And Penelope is such a dose of fun and freshness.
You'll enjoy this one.

Review: On a Tuesday
On a Tuesday by Whitney G.
My rating: 4 of 5 stars
The title is fitting. The story of Grayson and Charlotte is a sweet one. Throughout the whole thing I couldn't figure out why they split up. They were perfect together. The chase, the capture, the love these two shared. PERFECT.
And then it all came to an end.
This is the story of how good things can happen on a Tuesday.
Written in that Whitney G way that'll have you wanting to devour and savor the story at the same time, you won't be able to stop listening--or reading.

Review: The Bastard
The Bastard by Lisa Renee Jones
My rating: 4 of 5 stars
It's hot and dirty and just the kind of step-brother romance you want to read.
This book grabbed me instantly. I'm not sure why or how or what magical pull happened, but I didn't want to stop listening to this story.
And that ending? Yep, I'm downloading The Princess as I type this. I can't not know what happens to Eric and Harper.

Review: Him
Him by Sarina Bowen
My rating: 5 of 5 stars
Is this a story that will stand the test of my romance binge? Is this the story that I will continue to listen to because it will continue to make me feel all warm and fuzzy and full of hope?
The answer is yes.
I can honestly say I never get tired of this story. I never get tired of the purple Skittles or Lake Placid or hockey.
I never get tired of Holly or the Canning clan or Coach Pat.
I never get tired of that first kiss.
This is one of my favorite go-to romances. Jamie and Wes always make me smile.
**Review from 6/2019 reading**
`````````````````````````````````````````````````````
I read it again. I was in the mood to experience one of my favorite couples again. The first kiss still gets me when I hear it (I did the audio of this for this go). I get goosebumps and butterflies--and it's not even my first kiss!
I'm a sucker for these boys. I love Cassell (still waiting on his book, btw) and Wes and Jamie and Holly. I love the Canning Clan. I love the love Wes has for Jamie and that Jamie has for Wes. If you ever want to see true love, read Him by Sarina Bowen & Elle Kennedy. This book is it.
(5/18/18)
```````
One would think that I'd get tired of reading this, but I don't. This is the third time I've hung out with Jamie and Wes and they never become less perfect. There is something so refreshing about the Canning clan. There's something beautiful about a love that started before either realized it was love.
Jamie and Wes still hold the top spot for "best first kiss of all time." I don't know what it is about that first kiss, but it gets me every single time. The uncertainty, the hesitation, the nervousness. The surety, the want, the lust. It's all there. It's conflicting, but it's perfect. Wes is unsure. Jamie is confused. Lines are blurred. Lines are rewritten.
This wasn't my first M/M, but it is my favorite. I haven't met another couple that has captivated me quite like Him. Honestly, M/M or not this is one of my favorite couples. I can count on one hand the number of books I've reread over the years and this is one of them. Top 5 book of all time. Top kiss of all time. I think that says something.

Review: Skater Boy
Skater Boy by Mary Catherine Gebhard
My rating: 4 of 5 stars
The angst, the push and pull, the pain and the feelings.
Skater Boy has it all. I had no idea what to expect when I grabbed this book, but just know that it surpassed my expectations.
Flip and Tweetie are not who your normal stories are written about. They are skaters, they are rebels, they are Corrupt.
These are the kids your parents tried to tell you to avoid, even when they weren't bad kids.
These are the kids you wanted to spend time with.
These are the kids you wanted to be, while still being on the Incorrupt side of things.
Skater Boy is exactly what I needed.
I didn't fall, I didn't slam; I flipped.
