It doesn't matter how many times I read these books. It doesn't matter how often I pick up a Huss book. It doesn't matter. Huss is amazing. Huss rocks my world. And Spencer Shrike? Fuck. Me. That man is everything. My first real Huss love. My go-to Huss man. The artist, the bike-maker, the security.

Spencer fucking Shrike OWNS me. Fucking owns me.

Whether it's the first time or the twentieth time, I will always want Spencer. I mean, what's not to want? He's a romantic at heart. He does everything he can possibly do to protect Ronnie. And he is loyal to the Team. Loyal to Ronnie, but loyal to the Team as well.

And it's here we meet a key player for the next series (the Dirty, Dark, and Deadly series). Tet. Tet is a powerful man and his introduction in Guns is just the beginning.

#Rev picks up where #Junkie leaves us hanging. This is where I find my only complaint--and that's because the first 2 hours of this book (I listened to it) were spent in a bedroom. However, the story, the trials and the revenge that happens in this book? Yes, that's what makes this book worth reading. The revenge is perfect. The revenge is beautifully executed. And the revenge is what drives this book.

Well, revenge and love. Because Drew and Trent love each other. They have their family (Romeo, Brayden, Ivy, Rimmel) to support them. They have Joey and the Gamble racing name behind them. They have that one reporter who called out Drew in #Junkie for being in love with Trent.

Follow along with Trent and Drew as their romance plays out on the track and in the frat. It'll play out on the field and in their personal lives. They find new allies, new friends, and each other.

Review: #Junkie

M/M is my weakness. I can't even pretend to deny it. There's just something ridiculously hot about two strong men who find one another and then fall in love. The strength, the roughness, the loyalty.

Drew and Trent have been best friends for a long time. Drew is tearing up the indie racing circuit and Trent is the man at his side. Only they aren't together. They're dancing around their feelings and their lust and the simple fact that they want each other.

As Drew becomes more persistent in taking the indie racers public, he's put in a unique position to become a better racer and a spokesman for the indie circuit.

Trent has been by Drew's side, helping with the cars and making sure things don't get too crazy.
When Drew is forced to have a pro racer train him, Trent is forced to acknowledge his feelings because the jealousy is more than he can handle.

Finding themselves in a weird situation, one that involves facing how they feel about each other, it is hard to deny the truth any longer. These two have chemistry. Off the charts chemistry. And it's so real and grounded because it's based on friendship first and sexual tension second.

Since they are two men, they are terrified to tell those around them. They aren't sure how others will react and they don't want to lose each other.

As things begin to unravel at Trent's frat house, outsiders threaten the new relationship. Will Drew and Trent's friendship and budding romance withstand those against them or will it crumble?

Many of the services  those living with Autism require are not covered by insurance. It is an expensive and difficult lifelong diagnosis to navigate.

Authors Ginger Scott and Kennedy Ryan started LIFT 4 Autism a few years ago as a charitable initiative rallying the romance reading community in April, which is Autism Awareness/Acceptance month. Specifically, LIFT 2017 will benefit Kulture City’s lifeBOKS program, which provides families with free kits to curtail wandering, a common and potentially life threatening challenge. 5 Vitamin C Stars

I can't get enough of Jamie and Wes. I fell in love with them in Him and this just cemented their perfect spot on my top ten favorite couple lists.

This is what happens when the newness of a relationship wears off.
Jamie and Wes are trying to figure out their way in this crazy relationship they want more than anything else. And it isn't easy, what with trying to hide their relationship from their peers.

I've realized there is always a moment in a book that solidifies itself as something worth reading--well, there should be, but whatever. There is that moment when I sit back and say 'yes, that's the moment.'
The moment in Him was the first kiss. That first kiss was sheer perfection and ranks in my top five best first kisses ever. That moment in Us was the moment Wes dropped everything to be with Jamie. The moment he placed his lips to Jamie's forehead and then his lips was the moment I won't forget. It's the moment I'll want to replay over and over just to experience it again.

Jamie and Wes may have a few obstacles to overcome, but they have the help of the Canning clan and their new neighbor/Wes's teammate, Blake. Blake is awesomsauce. Buckle up because he'll have you laughing in a nanosecond. And I know he has his own book, but this first meeting is to die for! I love him so much! He's the perfect counter to the seriousness of Wes and Jamie.

So, Wes and Jamie are my go-to couple when I want a story that will make me happy. I know I'll be listening to them at least once a year from now on.

Review: Confessions of a Carpool Captive

4.5 All I'm asking for is a chance" Stars

This is my first Dawn L. Chiletz book and it will not be my last. I met Dawn last October at a book signing and we hit it off, discussing books and movies and whatever else came to mind. The fact it has taken me 6 months to pick up one of her books makes me want to kick myself in the ass.

Anyway, on to the review, which is what you really want. I LOVED this book. I laughed--a lot. I cried--a little. I'm not even kidding when I say I'm pretty sure Dawn inadvertently wrote a heroine based on my personality. Closed off. Resting bitch face. Enjoys silence. All of these things are true of me so imagine my surprise when I found a character who really spoke to me.

I've hypothetically hung up my dating thongs and gone back to granny panties, where I'm comfortable.

Liz Foley is comfortable in her life. She enjoys her solitude. She doesn't like people and she enjoys the quiet drive to work. She's resigned herself to the single life after a few relationships that were less than stellar.

"There's no need to worry about hurting my feelings. I'd rather have blunt force trauma than sugar-coated lies."

I think this was my favorite line in the entire book. So much happens, but this line. Damn. We should all have shirts that have this line on them. I want this quote placed on my walls. If you hadn't won me over with your personality, Dawn, you won me with this.

"All I'm asking for is a chance. Give me a chance to show you what I'm made of."

Finn Walsh. Damn. This man is persistent. He's charismatic. He's broken--even if you can't see it. Finn is probably the most patient person ever. He knows Liz is worth the fight, she's worth waiting for. He pulls, she pushes.

"Could you chew a little louder? I can still hear myself think back there."

Did I mention this is a rom-com? Probably not, but I should have. This book is funny. I laughed out loud throughout the entire book. Liz and Finn are hilarious. But honestly, they're nothing without the carpool. Yes, there really is a carpool. Kel, Emerson, and Ernesto round out this book. They are the best cast of characters. They are more than friends, they are family. They fight hard and love harder. All of them.

Review: Him

One would think that I'd get tired of reading this, but I don't. This is the third time I've hung out with Jamie and Wes and they never become less perfect. There is something so refreshing about the Canning clan. There's something beautiful about a love that started before either realized it was love.

Jamie and Wes still hold the top spot for "best first kiss of all time." I don't know what it is about that first kiss, but it gets me every single time. The uncertainty, the hesitation, the nervousness. The surety, the want, the lust. It's all there. It's conflicting, but it's perfect. Wes is unsure. Jamie is confused. Lines are blurred. Lines are rewritten.

This wasn't my first M/M, but it is my favorite. I haven't met another couple that has captivated me quite like Him. Honestly, M/M or not this is one of my favorite couples. I can count on one hand the number of books I've reread over the years and this is one of them. Top 5 book of all time. Top kiss of all time. I think that says something.
