Review: Stud Finder

Stud Finder Stud Finder by Lauren Blakely
My rating: 3 of 5 stars

Sweet, sexy, and a lot of fun. This was a short little novella about a matchmaker and an internet nerd. Let's be clear, that nerd is sexy and rich, so he's the kind of nerd we all want to date. He's a bit socially awkward, but he's fun, quirky, and sweet.
Our matchmaker is also adorable, fun, and quirky.

And let's get started on the fact this is narrated by JESSE METCALF! He does a fantastic job and I need to hear more of his voice.

Pick up Stud Finder if you want something short, sweet, and fun.

Review: Tripping on a Halo

Tripping on a Halo Tripping on a Halo by Alessandra Torre
My rating: 3 of 5 stars

So, yes, this is very much a rom-com, but boy does it turn into something else at one point. I love the premise, I love how Autumn swears she's Declan's guardian angel. LOVE IT.

And you totally believe it. And when they officially meet, well, Declan is totally smitten with our Autumn because who wouldn't be? She's fantastic.

Charley Ongel and Tor Thom do a great job of bringing Autumn and Declan to life.

Review: Thirty Day Boyfriend

Thirty Day Boyfriend Thirty Day Boyfriend by Whitney G.
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

I had a smile on my face for this entire book. Something about it just dragged me in and never let me go. I absolutely LOVED Emily and Nicholas.

The banter is perfect, the enemies-to-lovers is spot on, and the sex scene is hot!

I only wish the story had been longer, but that's because I loved it so much. I did not feel like I missed anything and I didn't feel like it was rushed.

I listened to this and Erin Mallon and Zachary Webber were perfection!

I definitely recommend!

Review: The Bad Boy's Temptation

The Bad Boy's Temptation The Bad Boy's Temptation by Lili Valente
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

I am not sure what I was expecting, but this little story has me wanting more, more, more. Talk about a cliffhanger--wait, am I allowed to say that? Will that turn off readers? If it does, you're stupid because this story is ONE of THREE and is only 1.5 hours long. Surely you're expecting more...right?

Anyway, I am downloading the next one now. This is too good to stop here!

This one is cute and simple. Pretty straightforward when it comes to loving your brother's best friend. Or, you know, your best friend's little sister.

If you want something short and sweet and a little naughty, this is the one for you.

Review: Forked

Forked Forked by Melanie Harlow
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

A second chance romance with a sexy chef?! Yes, please!

I absolutely adored Coco and Nick's story. There was just something about these two that had you cheering from them from the very beginning. Knowing each still desperately loved the other, it was so much fun watching them find that one true love all over again.

This is a great read if you need something light and fun. Melanie Harlow does not disappoint with this series standalone.

Review: Goodbye Paradise

Goodbye Paradise Goodbye Paradise by Nealy Wagner
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

I've had this book on my TBR for forever. I've finally downloaded the audio and taken the time to listen.
And I do not regret it.

Caleb and Josh have been raised in a cult.

This is the story of two men, one forced to leave and one who chooses to leave, who find themselves in the outside world trying to make their way across the country.

And it's also a story of those two men finding themselves within each other.

A solid MM romance from Sarina Bowen. A solid story.

Review: Floored

Floored Floored by Melanie Harlow
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

This is probably my favorite in this trio of books. I blame the fact that Charlie Dwyer is a cop. And there's just something about a man in a uniform that gets me every single time.

Erin is the friend of Mia and Coco. She's the odd man out after watching her two best friends fall in love. And now she wants her turn. I mean, those two found love in the most random places and the weirdest times, so why couldn't she find love?

Charlie is the officer on duty when she reports a burglary. He remembers her and quickly she remembers him--not too fondly either.

And that's where it gets good. They have a great chemistry, easy banter, and they rock it in the bedroom. Or, you know, wherever they happen to be when the desire strikes.

This was one of those feel-good romances that'll have you fanning yourself and looking for a cool drink to calm down. Melanie Harlow has hit it out of the park with this dirty talking cop.

Review: Hothouse Flower

Hothouse Flower Hothouse Flower by Krista Ritchie
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

God, I don't know what I would do without Audible. I'm on a time crunch for reading, but my audiobook time is WIIIIIIDE open. And with that time I've been devouring these books. And this is the book I've been wanting to read since I realized I was totally and completely in love with Ryke Meadows.

Don't read any further if you haven't read any of these books.

Anyway.

Daisy Calloway is the youngest of the Calloway clan. She's the model, the wild one, the girl who just wants to make others happy.

Ryke Meadows is brother to Loren Hale, son to Jonathan Hale, sober for 9 years, and Daisy's unofficial protector.

So it only makes since that these two would be close. They've been forced into social situations together for years. When Conner and Rose pair off, when Lo and Lily go off on their own, it leaves Ryke and Daisy together.

She's wild. He's the only one who can keep up with her.

And their love is the most beautiful of loves in this whole series. Yes, I love Lily and Lo because they are so special, they are best friends, they are everything to each other, the reason the other lives and breathes. And Conner and Rose are so powerful, demanding, dominant, and intriguing. Those two could only match one another.
But Ryke and Daisy? Now, those two were never supposed to happen. And that's why it's beautiful. He is the only one she trusts, the only one who helps her, the only one to push her to live the life she wants to live. He pushes her to be herself and not some creation of other people.

When forces beyond their control continue to push them together, continue to test their friendship, continue to see what the other is made of...well, they rise above. They are more. They are powerful. They are beauty and wildness and crazy and love all in one.

One cancelled wedding.
One solo trip to Paris.
The experience of a lifetime.

Mia Devine had no idea her wedding would be cancelled a week before the big day.
She had no idea her friends would have the power to convince her to go on her honeymoon alone.

But they did. And she went.

Lucas is everything you want in your dreamy book boyfriend. Swoony, ruggedly handsome, half-French/half-American. He has that accent that we all crave AND he speaks another language. Yep. Lucas is a dirty talking book boyfriend and he'll have you week in the knees while you check out the sights of Paris.

Review: Diamond-The Carbon Series Book 1

Diamond-The Carbon Series Book 1 Diamond-The Carbon Series Book 1 by H.Q. Frost
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Just when you think you know what Frost is going to give you in a book, well, she does something else entirely. Don't get me wrong, she's giving you one of those fun mindfucks she is so great at doing, but she isn't all sunshine and rainbows. She's hard truths, conflicting feelings, and hate.

Poor girl from the US? Check.
Rich man in another country? Check.
Arranged marriage? Double check.

Doesn't seem so bad, now does it?

This isn't a sappy love story.
This isn't an enemies to lovers story.

I'm not sure what this is.
A hate story?
A fuck-with-me story?

Read it for yourself. If you figure it out, let me know.

Review: Kiss the Sky

Kiss the Sky Kiss the Sky by Krista Ritchie
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

So, uhhhh....

Well, I did not see that coming. Conner Cobalt and Rose Calloway have had an interesting relationship thus far, but nothing could have prepared me for the total beauty these two would share.

And I mean this in the bedroom and out of it. The banter, the french, the need to have someone who can challenge you because they are on the same intellectual playing field as you....yes. Conner and Rose have that in spades.
But put them in the bedroom and that's where the real magic happens. And I won't say more because you just need to read this to find out the details.

If you've followed Lily and Lo, then you already have an idea as to how Conner and Rose work. This puts them in whole new light and gives you a new perspective into their character.

This is one crazy ride I'm not ready to get off of just yet. I'm downloading Hothouse Flower as I type this because I hear it's about Ryke and Daisy. AND I Can. Not. Wait.
Those two have been walking some crazy line since the beginning and I'm excited and terrified to see where their journey takes them.

Plus, there will be more Conner and Rose, Lily and Lo. It's going to be great, just like this book is.
